Charter and Mission Statement

Charter of The National Association of Wheeled Bin Washers

All members of the Association agree to comply with the guidelines set by the National Association of Wheeled Bin Washers and The Environment Agency as laid out within this Charter.

1. Members will endeavour to use the minimum quantity of water that they are able, in the washing of Wheeled Bins.

2. Members will re-use/re-cycle water used in the process of washing wheeled bins by filtering.

3. Members will minimise the amount of degreaser/detergent used. Only bio-degradable products will be used.

4. No waste water will be allowed to pass into any drainage system even though only bio-degradable wash products are used.

5. All contaminated materials will be placed into bags and removed from the site for disposal in a legal manner.

6. The washing location will be left clean and tidy with no litter left behind.

7. Members will only use a purpose built/customised washing vehicle.

8. Members will dispose of all contaminated water at a waste water disposal site, to ensure that the waste water discharges into the foul sewer. This site will have a "Legal Consent" from the local water authority or as local regulations dictate.
